Asa cried to the LORD his God, and said, LORD, there is none besides you to help, between the mighty and him who has no strength: help us, LORD our God; for we rely on you, and in your name are we come against this multitude. LORD, you are our God; don't let man prevail against you.


Our God, will you not judge them? for we have no might against this great company that comes against us; neither know we what to do: but our eyes are on you.


Why do you stand far off, LORD? Why do you hide yourself in times of trouble?


So the shipmaster came to him, and said to him, *What do you mean, sleeper? Arise, call on your God! Maybe your God will notice us, so that we won't perish.*


Behold, a leper came to him and worshiped him, saying, *Lord, if you want to, you can make me clean.*


Behold, a violent storm came up on the sea, so much that the boat was covered with the waves, but he was asleep.


While he told these things to them, behold, a ruler came and worshiped him, saying, *My daughter has just died, but come and lay your hand on her, and she will live.*


They came to him, and awoke him, saying, *Master, master, we are dying!* He awoke, and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water, and they ceased, and it was calm.
