They took counsel together that they might take Yeshua by deceit, and kill him.
Now when morning had come, all the chief Kohanim and the elders of the people took counsel against Yeshua to put him to death:
It was now two days before the feast of the Pesach and the matzah, and the chief Kohanim and the scribes sought how they might seize him by deception, and kill him.
The Perushim went out, and immediately conspired with the Herodians against him, how they might destroy him.
The chief Kohanim and the scribes sought how they might put him to death, for they feared the people.
But they were filled with rage, and talked with one another about what they might do to Yeshua.
So from that day forward they took counsel that they might put him to death.
Now the chief Kohanim and the Perushim had commanded that if anyone knew where he was, he should report it, that they might seize him.
For this cause therefore the Judeans sought all the more to kill him, because he not only broke the Shabbat, but also called God his own Father, making himself equal with God.
They sought therefore to take him; but no one laid a hand on him, because his hour had not yet come.
The Perushim heard the multitude murmuring these things concerning him, and the chief Kohanim and the Perushim sent officers to arrest him.
Therefore they took up stones to throw at him, but Yeshua was hidden, and went out of the temple, having gone through the midst of them, and so passed by.
