And they took counsel so that by deceitfulness they might take hold of Jesus and kill him.


Then, when morning arrived, all the leaders of the priests and the elders of the people took counsel against Jesus, so that they might deliver him to death.


Now the feast of Passover and of Unleavened Bread was two days away. And the leaders of the priests, and the scribes, were seeking a means by which they might deceitfully seize him and kill him.


Then the Pharisees, going out, immediately took counsel with the Herodians against him, as to how they might destroy him.


And the leaders of the priests, and the scribes, were seeking a way to execute Jesus. Yet truly, they were afraid of the people.


Then they were filled with madness, and they discussed with one another, what, in particular, they might do about Jesus.


Therefore, the Jews took up stones, in order to stone him.


Therefore, they sought to apprehend him, but he escaped from their hands.


Therefore, from that day, they planned to put him to death.


And the high priests and Pharisees had given an order, so that if anyone would know where he may be, he should reveal it, so that they might apprehend him.


And so, because of this, the Jews were seeking to kill him even more so. For not only did he break the Sabbath, but he even said that God was his Father, making himself equal to God.


Therefore, they were seeking to apprehend him, and yet no one laid hands on him, because his hour had not yet come.


The Pharisees heard the crowd murmuring these things about him. And the leaders and the Pharisees sent attendants to apprehend him.


Now certain ones among them wanted to apprehended him, but no one laid hands upon him.


Therefore, they took up stones to cast at him. But Jesus hid himself, and he departed from the temple.
