Pilate said to them, *Why, what evil has he done?* But they cried out exceedingly, *Crucify him!*


The people stood watching. The rulers with them also scoffed at him, saying, *He saved others. Let him save himself, if this is the Messiah of God, his chosen one!*


and how the chief Kohanim and our rulers delivered him up to be condemned to death, and crucified him.


Nevertheless even of the rulers many believed in him, but because of the Perushim they didn't confess it, so that they wouldn't be put out of the synagogue,


Pilate said to him, *What is truth?* When he had said this, he went out again to the Judeans, and said to them, *I find no basis for a charge against him.


Then Pilate went out again, and said to them, *Behold, I bring him out to you, that you may know that I find no basis for a charge against him.*


Now there was a man of the Perushim named Nakdimon, a ruler of the Judeans.
