While he was sitting on the judgment seat, his wife sent to him, saying, *Have nothing to do with that righteous man, for I have suffered many things this day in a dream because of him.*


So when Pilate saw that nothing was being gained, but rather that a disturbance was starting, he took water, and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, *I am innocent of the blood of this righteous person. You see to it.*


saying, *I have sinned in that I betrayed innocent blood.* But they said, *What is that to us? You see to it.*


Now the centurion, and those who were with him watching Yeshua, when they saw the earthquake, and the things that were done, feared exceedingly, saying, *Truly this was the Son of God.*


Pilate said to the chief Kohanim and the multitudes, *I find no basis for a charge against this man.*


And we indeed justly, for we receive the due reward for our deeds, but this man has done nothing wrong.*


When the centurion saw what was done, he glorified God, saying, *Certainly this was a righteous man.*


Pilate therefore entered again into the Praetorium, called Yeshua, and said to him, *Are you the King of the Jews?*


Pilate said to him, *What is truth?* When he had said this, he went out again to the Judeans, and said to them, *I find no basis for a charge against him.


When therefore the chief Kohanim and the officers saw him, they shouted, saying, *Crucify! Crucify!* Pilate said to them, *Take him yourselves, and crucify him, for I find no basis for a charge against him.*


For him who knew no sin he made to be sin on our behalf; so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.


For such a Kohen Gadol was fitting for us: holy, guiltless, undefiled, separated from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;


but with precious blood, as of a faultless and pure lamb, the blood of Messiah;


who did not sin, *neither was deceit found in his mouth.*


Because Messiah also suffered for sins once, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring you to God; being put to death in the flesh, but made alive in the spirit;


You know that he was revealed to take away our sins, and in him is no sin.
