They braided a crown of thorns and put it on his head, and a reed in his right hand; and they kneeled down before him, and mocked him, saying, *Hail, King of the Jews!*


They began to salute him, *Hail, King of the Jews!*


Having come in, the angel said to her, *Rejoice, you highly favored one! The Lord is with you. Blessed are you among women!*


When he had said this, one of the officers standing by slapped Yeshua with his hand, saying, *Do you answer the Kohen Gadol like that?*


Pilate therefore entered again into the Praetorium, called Yeshua, and said to him, *Are you the King of the Jews?*
