So please listen in heaven to their prayer. Then forgive us for our sins. Teach the people to live right. Then, Lord, please send rain to the land you gave them.


You pour the rain on the plowed fields.\par You soak the fields with water.\par You make the ground soft with rain,\par and you make the young plants grow.\par


You start the new year with a good harvest.\par You load the wagons with many crops. {\cf2\super [376]} \par


You take care of the land.\par You water it and make it grow things.\par God, you fill the streams with water\par and make the crops grow.\par


Don’t let those wild animals take your dove!\par Don’t forget your poor people forever.\par


He hit the rock\par and a flood of water came out.\par Surely he can give us some bread and meat!”\par


The Lord helps weak people to be strong.\par He causes the people without power to become powerful.\par


They came as a group to speak against Moses and Aaron. These men said to Moses and Aaron, “You have gone too far—you are wrong! All the people of Israel are holy—the Lord still lives among them! You are making yourself more important than the rest of the Lord’s people.”


Blind people are able to see again; crippled people are able to walk again; people that have leprosy {\cf2\super [131]} are healed; deaf people can hear again; dead people are raised from death; and the Good News {\cf2\super [132]} is told to the poor people.

The Lord raises poor people from the dust. He takes away their sadness. [22] The Lord makes poor people important. He seats them with princes and at the places for honored guests. The Lord made the whole world! And the whole world belongs to him! [23]
