So that person becomes strong\par like a tree planted by streams of water\par He is like a tree that makes fruit\par at the right time.\par He is like a tree with leaves that don’t die.\par Everything he does is successful.\par


Some people think their strength and wealth will protect them.\par But those people are fools.\par


Don’t trust the power to take things by force.\par Don’t think you will gain anything by stealing.\par And if you become rich,\par don’t trust your riches to help you.\par


Wealth protects the rich person. And poverty destroys a poor person.


“All of your people will be good.\par Those people will get the earth forever.\par I made those people.\par They are the wonderful plant\par that I made with my own hands.\par


That person will be strong\par like a tree planted near water.\par That tree has large roots that find the water.\par That tree is not afraid\par when the days are hot.\par Its leaves are always green.\par It does not worry in a year\par when no rain comes.\par That tree always produces fruit.\par


But God said to that man, ‘Foolish man! Tonight you will die. So what about the things you prepared for yourself? Who will get those things now?’


Give this command to the people who are rich with the things this world has. Tell them not to be proud. Tell those rich people to hope in God, not their money. Money cannot be trusted. But God takes care of us richly. He gives us everything to enjoy.
