But Jesus knew what they were thinking. He said, “Why do you have these questions in your minds?
The Pharisee that asked Jesus to come to his house saw this. He thought to himself, “If this man (Jesus) were a prophet, {\cf2\super [143]} he would know that the woman who is touching him is a sinner!”
The Jews answered, “We are Abraham’s {\cf2\super [136]} people. And we have never been slaves. So why do you say that we will be free?”

Simon (Peter) has told us how God showed his love for the non-Jewish people. For the first time, God accepted the non-Jewish people and made them his people.
So what can we say about Abraham, {\cf2\super [32]} the father of our people? What did he learn about faith?
