From that time Jesus began telling his followers that he must go to Jerusalem. Jesus explained that the older Jewish leaders, the leading priests, and the teachers of the law would make him suffer many things. And Jesus told his followers that he must be killed. Jesus taught that the Son of Man would not be accepted by the older Jewish leaders, the leading priests, and the teachers of the law. Jesus taught that the Son of Man must be killed and then rise from death after three days.
Then Jesus and his followers left that place. They went through Galilee. Jesus did not want the people to know where they were.
Jesus answered, “Destroy this temple and I will build it again in three days.”
