Then I began doing great things. I built houses, and I planted fields of grapes for myself.
These men say, ‘We will be building our houses again very soon. \{We are as safe in this city as\} meat in a pot!’
You take unfair taxes {\cf2\super [69]} from poor people.\par You take loads of wheat from them.\par You build fancy houses with cut stone.\par But you will not live in those houses.\par You plant beautiful fields of grapes.\par But you will not drink the wine from them.\par

It will be the same as during the time of Lot when God destroyed Sodom. {\cf2\super [278]} Those people were eating, drinking, buying, selling, planting, and building houses for themselves.
