The next day, Paul went with us to visit James. All the elders {\cf2\super [420]} (church leaders) were there too.


The next night the Lord \{Jesus\} came and stood by Paul. He said, “Be brave! You have told people in Jerusalem about me. You must also go to Rome to tell people there about me!”


Then the commander called two army officers. {\cf2\super [459]} He said to them, “I need some men to go to Caesarea. Get 200 soldiers ready. Also, get 70 soldiers on horses and 200 men to carry spears. Be ready to leave at nine o’clock tonight.


Five days later Ananias went to the city of Caesarea. Ananias was the high priest. {\cf2\super [462]} Ananias also brought some of the older Jewish leaders and a lawyer named Tertullus. They went to Caesarea to make charges against Paul before the governor.
