Numbers 30:13
13 Tagairtí Cros

I proclaimed a fast  by the River Ahava,  so that we might humble ourselves before our God and ask him for a safe journey for us, our dependents, and all our possessions.

Will the fast I choose be like this: A day for a person to deny himself, to bow his head like a reed, and to spread out sackcloth and ashes? Will you call this a fast and a day acceptable to the  Lord?

‘This is to be a permanent statute  for you: in the seventh month, on the tenth day of the month you are to practise self-denial  and do no work,  both the native and the foreigner  who resides among you.

‘The tenth day of this seventh month is the Day of Atonement.  You are to hold a sacred assembly and practise self-denial;  you are to present a food offering to the Lord.

It will be a Sabbath of complete rest for you, and you must practise self-denial. You are to observe your Sabbath from the evening of the ninth day of the month until the following evening.’

‘You are to hold a sacred assembly on the tenth day of this seventh month and practise self-denial;  do not do any work.

But if her husband cancels them on the day he hears about it, nothing that came from her lips, whether her vows or her obligation, is binding. Her husband has cancelled them, and the Lord will release her.

If her husband says nothing at all to her from day to day, he confirms all her vows and obligations, which are binding. He has confirmed them because he said nothing to her when he heard about them.

But I want you to know that Christ is the head  of every man, and the man is the head of the woman,  , and God is the head of Christ.

Neither was man created for the sake of woman, but woman for the sake of man.
