He gave a sign  that day. He said, ‘This is the sign that the Lord has spoken: “The altar will now be ripped apart, and the ashes that are on it will be poured out.” ’


The altar was ripped apart, and the ashes poured from the altar, according to the sign that the man of God had given by the word of the Lord.


‘If they will not believe you and will not respond to the evidence of the first sign, they may believe the evidence of the second sign.


‘When Pharaoh tells you, “Perform a miracle,” tell Aaron, “Take your staff and throw it down before Pharaoh. It will become a serpent.” ’


to those who say, ‘Let him hurry up and do his work quickly so that we can see it! Let the plan  of the Holy One of Israel  take place so that we can know it! ’


Let the Messiah,  the King  of Israel,  come down now from the cross,  so that we may see and believe.’  Even those who were crucified with him taunted him.


The  Pharisees  came and began to argue with him, demanding of him a sign  from heaven  to test  him.

Even though he had performed so many signs in their presence, they did not believe in him.


So the Jews replied to him, ‘What sign will you show us for doing these things? ’


because his disciples had gone into town to buy food.


When the people saw the sign  he had done, they said, ‘This truly is the Prophet  who is to come  into the world.’


A huge crowd was following him because they saw the signs that he was performing by healing the sick.


But as I told you, you’ve seen me,   and yet you do not believe.


while you stretch out your hand for healing, and signs and wonders  are performed through the name of your holy servant Jesus.’


For the Jews ask for signs  and the Greeks seek wisdom,


At the same time, God also testified by signs and wonders, various miracles, and distributions of gifts from the Holy Spirit according to his will.
