Whatever he tears down cannot be rebuilt; whoever he imprisons cannot be released.


as water wears away stones and torrents wash away the soil from the land, so you destroy a man’s hope.


My days have slipped by; my plans have been ruined, even the things dear to my heart.


where then is my hope? Who can see any hope for me?


So Satan left the Lord’s presence and infected Job with terrible boils from the soles of his feet to the top of his head.


The womb forgets them; worms feed on them; they are remembered  no more. So injustice is broken like a tree.


What strength do I have, that I should continue to hope? What is my future, that I should be patient?


My days pass more swiftly than a weaver’s shuttle; they come to an end without hope.
