Why does the Almighty not reserve times for judgement? Why do those who know him never see his days?
Wail! For the day of the Lord is near. It will come as destruction from the Almighty.
For a day belonging to the Lord of Armies is coming against all that is proud and lofty, against all that is lifted up #– #it will be humbled –
Then Assyria will fall, but not by human sword; a sword will devour him, but not one made by man. He will flee from the sword; his young men will be put to forced labour.
to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favour, and the day of our God’s vengeance; to comfort all who mourn,
