Then he stretched himself out over the boy three times. He cried out to the Lord and said, ‘Lord my God, please let this boy’s life come into him again! ’
So the Lord listened to Elijah, and the boy’s life came into him again, and he lived.
Then he said to his servant, ‘Go up and look towards the sea.’ So he went up, looked, and said, ‘There’s nothing.’ Seven times Elijah said, ‘Go back.’
Once, as the Israelites were burying a man, suddenly they saw a raiding party, so they threw the man into Elisha’s tomb. When he touched Elisha’s bones, the man revived and stood up!
Elisha called Gehazi and said, ‘Call the Shunammite woman.’ He called her and she came. Then Elisha said, ‘Pick up your son.’
Then Elisha sent him a messenger, who said, ‘Go and wash seven times in the Jordan and your skin will be restored and you will be clean.’
So Naaman went down and dipped himself in the Jordan seven times, according to the command of the man of God. Then his skin was restored and became like the skin of a small boy, and he was clean.
Elisha said to the woman whose son he had restored to life, ‘Get ready, you and your household, and go and live as a resident foreigner wherever you can. For the Lord has announced a seven-year famine, and it has already come to the land.’
While he was telling the king how Elisha restored the dead son to life, the woman whose son he had restored to life came to appeal to the king for her house and field. So Gehazi said, ‘My lord the king, this is the woman and this is the son Elisha restored to life.’
Her spirit returned, and she got up at once. Then he gave orders that she be given something to eat.
Peter sent them all out of the room. He knelt down, prayed, and turning towards the body said, ‘Tabitha, get up.’ She opened her eyes, saw Peter, and sat up.
