However,they did not allheedthe good news;for Isaiahsays,"LORD,WHOHAS BELIEVEDOUR REPORT?"
Whois among you that fearsthe LORD,That obeysthe voiceof His servant,That walksin darknessand hasnolight?Let him trustin the nameof the LORDand relyon his God.
Whohas believedour message?And to whomhas the armof the LORDbeen revealed?
"In their case the prophecyof Isaiahis being fulfilled,which says,YOU WILL KEEPON HEARING,BUT WILL NOT UNDERSTAND;YOU WILL KEEPON SEEING,BUT WILL NOT PERCEIVE;
"But you do not believebecauseyou are not of My sheep.
Somewere being persuadedby the things spoken,but otherswould not believe.
throughwhomwe have receivedgraceand apostleshipto bring about[the] obedienceof faithamongallthe Gentilesfor His name'ssake,
But ifsomeof the brancheswere broken off,and you, beinga wild olive,were graftedin amongthem and becamepartakerwith them of the richrootof the olive tree,
but nowis manifested,and by the Scripturesof the prophets,accordingto the commandmentof the eternalGod,has been made knownto allthe nations,[leading] to obedienceof faith;
but to thosewho are selfishly ambitiousand do not obeythe truth,but obeyunrighteousness,wrathand indignation.
Whatthen?Ifsomedid not believe,their unbeliefwill not nullifythe faithfulnessof God,will it?
But thanksbe to Godthat though you were slavesof sin,you became obedientfrom the heartto that formof teachingto whichyou were committed,
You foolishGalatians,whohas bewitchedyou, beforewhoseeyesJesusChristwas publicly portrayed[as] crucified?
You were runningwell;whohinderedyou from obeyingthe truth?
dealingout retributionto thosewho do not knowGodand to thosewho do not obeythe gospelof our LordJesus.
By faithAbraham,when he was called,obeyedby goingout to a placewhichhe was to receivefor an inheritance;and he wentout, not knowingwherehe was going.
For indeedwe have had good news preachedto us, justas they also;but the wordthey hearddid not profitthem, because it was not unitedby faithin thosewhoheard.
And having been made perfect,He becameto allthosewho obeyHim the sourceof eternalsalvation,
Since you have in obedienceto the truthpurifiedyour soulsfor a sincerelove of the brethren,ferventlyloveone anotherfrom the heart,
and, "A STONEOF STUMBLINGAND A ROCKOF OFFENSE";for they stumblebecause they are disobedientto the word,and to this[doom] they were alsoappointed.
In the same way,you wives,be submissiveto your ownhusbandssothat evenifany[of them] are disobedientto the word,they may be wonwithouta wordby the behaviorof their wives,
