ThenI sawthrones,and they saton them, and judgmentwas givento them. And I [saw] the soulsof thosewho had been beheadedbecauseof their testimonyof Jesusand becauseof the wordof God,and those whohad not worshipedthe beastorhis image,and had not receivedthe markon their foreheadand on their hand;and they came to lifeand reignedwith Christfor a thousandyears.
"In the daysof thosekingsthe Godof heavenwill setup a kingdomwhichwill neverbe destroyed,and [that] kingdomwill not be leftfor anotherpeople;it will crushand putan endto allthesekingdoms,but it will itselfendureforever.
But the saintsof the HighestOnewill receivethe kingdomand possessthe kingdomforever,for allagesto come.'
untilthe Ancientof Dayscameand judgmentwas passedin favor of the saintsof the HighestOne,and the timearrivedwhen the saintstookpossessionof the kingdom.
Then the sovereignty,the dominionand the greatnessof [all] the kingdomsunderthe wholeheavenwill be givento the peopleof the saintsof the HighestOne;His kingdom[will be] an everlastingkingdom,and allthe dominionswill serveand obeyHim.'
"I keptlookingUntilthroneswere setup, And the Ancientof Daystook[His] seat;His vesture[was] like whitesnowAnd the hairof His headlike purewool.His throne[was] ablazewith flames,Its wheels[were] a burningfire.
"Behold,I am going to sendyou Elijahthe prophetbeforethe comingof the greatand terribledayof the LORD.
And Jesussaidto them, "TrulyI sayto you, that you who have followedMe, in the regenerationwhenthe Sonof Manwill siton His gloriousthrone,you alsoshall situpon twelvethrones,judgingthe twelvetribesof Israel.
"At that timemanywill fall awayand will betrayoneanotherand hateone another.
But when Herodheard[of it], he kept saying,"John,whomI beheaded,has risen!"
Immediatelythe kingsentan executionerand commanded[him] to bring[back] his head.And he wentand had him beheadedin the prison,
They askedHim, saying,"[Why is it] that the scribessaythat Elijahmustcomefirst?"
"It is he who will go[as a forerunner] beforeHim in the spiritand powerof Elijah,TO TURNTHE HEARTSOF THE FATHERSBACKTO THE CHILDREN,and the disobedientto the attitudeof the righteous,so as to make readya peoplepreparedfor the Lord."
and you will be blessed,sincethey do not have[the means] to repayyou; for you will be repaidat the resurrectionof the righteous."
that you may eatand drinkat My tablein My kingdom,and you will siton thronesjudgingthe twelvetribesof Israel.
"Aftera little whilethe worldwill no longerseeMe, but you [will] seeMe; becauseI live,you will livealso.
For iftheir rejectionis the reconciliationof the world,whatwill [their] acceptancebe but lifefrom the dead?
and ifchildren,heirsalso,heirsof Godand fellow heirswith Christ,if indeedwe sufferwith [Him] sothat we may alsobe glorifiedwith [Him].
Ifwe endure,we will alsoreignwith Him; Ifwe denyHim, He alsowill denyus;
whotestifiedto the wordof Godand to the testimonyof JesusChrist,[even] to allthat he saw.
I, John,your brotherand fellow partakerin the tribulationand kingdomand perseverance[which are] in Jesus,was on the islandcalledPatmosbecauseof the wordof Godand the testimonyof Jesus.
But afterthe threeand a halfdays,the breathof lifefrom Godcameinto them, and they stoodon their feet;and greatfearfellupon thosewho were watchingthem.
Thenthe seventhangelsounded;and there were loudvoicesin heaven,saying,"The kingdomof the worldhas become[the kingdom] of our Lordand of His Christ;and He will reignforeverand ever."
"And I will grant[authority] to my twowitnesses,and they will prophesyfor twelvehundredand sixtydays,clothedin sackcloth."
Whenthey have finishedtheir testimony,the beastthat comesup out of the abysswill makewarwith them, and overcomethem and killthem.
"And they overcamehim becauseof the bloodof the Lamband becauseof the wordof their testimony,and they did not lovetheir lifeeven whenfaced with death.
"And the smokeof their tormentgoesup foreverand ever;they havenorestdayand night,thosewho worshipthe beastand his image,and whoeverreceivesthe markof his name."
And I sawsomething likea seaof glassmixedwith fire,and thosewho had been victoriousoverthe beastand his imageand the numberof his name,standingon the seaof glass,holdingharpsof God.
"The beastthat you sawwas, and is not, and is aboutto comeup out of the abyssand goto destruction.And thosewho dwellon the earth,whosenamehas not been writtenin the bookof lifefrom the foundationof the world,will wonderwhen they seethe beast,that he was and is not and will come.
He who overcomes,and he who keepsMy deedsuntilthe end,TO HIM I WILL GIVEAUTHORITYOVERTHE NATIONS;
Blessedand holyis the one who hasa partin the firstresurrection;overthesethe seconddeathhasnopower,but they will be priestsof Godand of Christand will reignwith Him for a thousandyears.
And there will nolongerbe [any] night;and they will not haveneedof the lightof a lampnorthe lightof the sun,becausethe LordGodwill illuminethem; and they will reignforeverand ever.
He who overcomes,I will grantto him to sitdownwith Me on My throne,as I alsoovercameand sat downwith My Fatheron His throne.
Aroundthe throne[were] twenty-fourthrones;and upon the thrones[I saw] twenty-fourelderssitting,clothedin whitegarments,and goldencrownson their heads.
Whenthe Lamb brokethe fifthseal,I sawunderneaththe altarthe soulsof thosewho had been slainbecauseof the wordof God,and becauseof the testimonywhichthey had maintained;
saying,"Do not harmthe earthorthe seaorthe treesuntilwe have sealedthe bond-servantsof our Godon their foreheads."
