"Nowconsiderthis,you who forgetGod,OrI will tear[you] in pieces, and therewill be noneto deliver.
"Soare the pathsof allwhoforgetGod;And the hopeof the godlesswill perish,
The wickedwill returnto Sheol,[Even] allthe nationswhoforgetGod.
My peopleare destroyedfor lackof knowledge.Becauseyou have rejectedknowledge,I also will rejectyou from being My priest.Since you have forgottenthe lawof your God,I alsowill forgetyour children.
Orhe will tearmy soullike a lion,Draggingme away,while thereis noneto deliver.
I will encounterthem like a bearrobbedof her cubs,And I will tearopen their chests;ThereI will also devourthem like a lioness,[As] a wildbeastwould tearthem.
"Can a virginforgether ornaments,Or a brideher attire?Yet My peoplehave forgottenMe Dayswithoutnumber.
"You neglectedthe Rockwho begotyou, And forgotthe Godwho gaveyou birth.
"Flightwill perishfrom the swift,And the stalwartwill not strengthenhis power,Northe mightymansavehis life.
That you have forgottenthe LORDyour Maker,Who stretchedout the heavensAnd laidthe foundationsof the earth,That you fearcontinuallyalldaylong becauseof the furyof the oppressor,As he makesreadyto destroy?But whereis the furyof the oppressor?
The wicked,in the haughtinessof his countenance,does not seek[Him]. Allhis thoughtsare, "Thereis noGod."
"They looked,but therewas noneto save;[Even] to the LORD,but He did not answerthem.
"But when he cameto his senses,he said,'How manyof my father'shired menhave more than enoughbread,but I am dyingherewith hunger!
Nowtherefore, thussaysthe LORDof hosts,"Consideryour ways!
"Because he consideredand turnedawayfrom allhis transgressionswhichhe had committed,he shall surelylive;he shall not die.
The remnantof JacobWill be among the nations,AmongmanypeoplesLike a lionamong the beastsof the forest,Like a younglionamong flocksof sheep,Which,ifhe passesthrough,Tramplesdownand tears,And thereis noneto rescue.
For I [will be] like a lionto EphraimAnd like a younglionto the houseof Judah.I, even I, will tearto pieces and goaway, I will carryaway, and therewill be noneto deliver.
In the dayof prosperitybe happy,But in the dayof adversityconsider--Godhas madethe oneas wellas the otherSothat manwill not discoveranything[that will be] afterhim.
Seenowthat I, I am He, And thereis nogodbesidesMe; It is I who putto deathand givelife.I have woundedand it is I who heal,And thereis noonewho can deliverfrom My hand.
Accordingto Your knowledgeI am indeednot guilty,Yet thereis nodeliverancefrom Your hand.
For the needywill not alwaysbe forgotten,Nor the hopeof the afflictedperishforever.
