So that they caused the cryof the poorto cometo Him, And that He might hearthe cryof the afflicted--
I risebefore dawnand cryfor help;I waitfor Your words.
Lord,hearmy voice!Let Your earsbe attentiveTo the voiceof my supplications.
My soul[waits] for the LordMorethanthe watchmenfor the morning;[Indeed, more than] the watchmenfor the morning.
I will extolYou, my God,O King,And I will blessYour nameforeverand ever.
O my God,I cryby day,but You do not answer;And by night,but I have norest.

At nightmy soullongsfor You, Indeed,my spiritwithinme seeksYou diligently;For whenthe earthexperiences Your judgmentsThe inhabitantsof the worldlearnrighteousness.
You have heardmy voice,"Do not hideYour earfrom my [prayer for] relief,From my cryfor help."
In the early morning,whileit was stilldark,Jesus gotup, left [the house], and went awayto a secludedplace,and was prayingthere.
