O my God,my soulis in despairwithinme; ThereforeI rememberYou from the landof the JordanAnd the peaks of Hermon, from MountMizar.
Then Davidand allthe peoplewho[were] with him aroseand crossedthe Jordan;and by dawnnot evenoneremainedwhohad not crossedthe Jordan.
Now when Davidhad cometo Mahanaim,Shobithe sonof Nahashfrom Rabbahof the sonsof Ammon,Machirthe sonof Ammielfrom Lo-debar,and Barzillaithe Gileaditefrom Rogelim,
It is like the dewof HermonComingdownupon the mountainsof Zion; For therethe LORDcommandedthe blessing--lifeforever.
My God,my God,whyhave You forsakenme? Farfrom my deliveranceare the wordsof my groaning.
Then I will goto the altarof God,To Godmy exceedingjoy; And upon the lyreI shall praiseYou, O God,my God.
Whyare you in despair,O my soul? And whyare you disturbedwithinme? Hopein God,for I shall againpraiseHim, The helpof my countenanceand my God.
From the endof the earthI callto You when my heartis faint;Leadme to the rockthat is higherthanI.
"While I was faintingaway,I rememberedthe LORD,And my prayercameto You, Into Your holytemple.
And He wenta littlebeyond[them], and fellon His faceand prayed, saying,"My Father, ifit is possible, let thiscuppassfrom Me; yetnot as I will, but as You will."
Aboutthe ninthhourJesuscriedout with a loudvoice, saying,"ELI,ELI,LAMASABACHTHANI?"that is, "MY GOD,MY GOD,WHYHAVE YOU FORSAKENME?"
