[The righteous] cry,and the LORDhearsAnd deliversthem out of alltheir troubles.
In thosedaysHezekiahbecamemortallyill;and he prayedto the LORD,and the LORD spoketo him and gavehim a sign.
"Lo,Godwill not reject[a man of] integrity,Norwill He supportthe evildoers.
Let them be beforethe LORDcontinually,That He may cutofftheir memoryfrom the earth;
The eyesof the LORDare towardthe righteousAnd His earsare [open] to their cry.
Manyare the afflictionsof the righteous,But the LORDdelivershim out of them all.
Thispoormancried,and the LORDheardhim And savedhim out of allhis troubles.
But as for me, by Your abundantlovingkindnessI will enterYour house,At Your holytempleI will bowin reverencefor You.
The enemyhas cometo an endin perpetualruins,And You have uprootedthe cities;The verymemoryof them has perished.
"He will callupon Me, and I will answerhim; I will be with him in trouble;I will rescuehim and honorhim.
The memoryof the righteousis blessed,But the nameof the wickedwill rot.
"It will also cometo passthat beforethey call,I will answer;and while they are stillspeaking,I will hear.
"I will setMy faceagainst that manand makehim a signand a proverb,and I will cuthim offfrom amongMy people.So you will knowthat I am the LORD.
"And thoughthey gointo captivitybeforetheir enemies,From thereI will commandthe swordthat it slaythem, And I will setMy eyesagainstthem for eviland not for good."
I would have said,"I will cutthem to pieces,I will removethe memoryof them from men,"
