You have deliveredme from the contentionsof the people;You have placedme as headof the nations;A peoplewhom I have not knownserveme.
Allthe peoplewere quarrelingthroughout allthe tribesof Israel,saying,"The kingdeliveredus from the handof our enemiesand savedus from the handof the Philistines,but nowhe has fledout of the landfrom Absalom.
Now there was a longwarbetweenthe houseof Sauland the houseof David;and Davidgrewsteadilystronger,but the houseof Saulgrewweakercontinually.
"Moabis My washbowl;OverEdomI shall throwMy shoe;OverPhilistiaI will shoutaloud."
He says,"It is toosmalla thingthat You should be My ServantTo raiseup the tribesof Jacoband to restorethe preservedones of Israel;I will also makeYou a lightof the nationsSo that My salvationmay reachto the endof the earth."
ThusHe will sprinklemanynations,Kingswill shuttheir mouthson accountof Him; For whathad not been toldthem they will see,And whatthey had not heardthey will understand.
"Behold,you will calla nationyou do not know,And a nationwhich knowsyou not will runto you, Becauseof the LORDyour God,even the HolyOneof Israel;For He has glorifiedyou."
Yet the numberof the sonsof IsraelWill be like the sandof the sea,Whichcannotbe measuredor numbered;And in the placeWhereit is saidto them, "You are not My people,"It will be saidto them, "[You are] the sonsof the livingGod."
"He is the one whom Godexaltedto His right handas a Princeand a Savior,to grantrepentanceto Israel,and forgivenessof sins.
AgainIsaiahsays,"THERE SHALL COMETHE ROOTOF JESSE,AND HE WHO ARISESTO RULEOVER THE GENTILES,IN HIM SHALL THE GENTILESHOPE."
For I will not presumeto speakof anythingexceptwhatChristhas accomplishedthroughme, resultingin the obedienceof the Gentilesby wordand deed,
but nowis manifested,and by the Scripturesof the prophets,accordingto the commandmentof the eternalGod,has been made knownto allthe nations,[leading] to obedienceof faith;
And He putallthingsin subjectionunderHis feet,and gaveHim as headoverall thingsto the church,
for you oncewere NOT A PEOPLE,but nowyou are THE PEOPLEOF GOD;you had NOT RECEIVEDMERCY,but nowyou have RECEIVED MERCY.
Thenthe seventhangelsounded;and there were loudvoicesin heaven,saying,"The kingdomof the worldhas become[the kingdom] of our Lordand of His Christ;and He will reignforeverand ever."
