For the LORDknowsthe wayof the righteous,But the wayof the wickedwill perish.

Keepme from the jawsof the trapwhich they have setfor me, And from the snaresof those who doiniquity.
Therefore my spiritis overwhelmedwithinme; My heartis appalledwithinme.
Becauseof allmy adversaries,I have becomea reproach,Especiallyto my neighbors,And an objectof dreadto my acquaintances;Those who seeme in the streetfleefrom me.
Reproachhas brokenmy heartand I am so sick.And I lookedfor sympathy,but therewas none,And for comforters,but I foundnone.
You have removedloverand friendfarfrom me; My acquaintancesare [in] darkness.
You have removedmy acquaintancesfarfrom me; You have mademe an objectof loathingto them; I am shutup and cannotgoout.
May an outcrybe heardfrom their houses,WhenYou suddenlybringraidersupon them; For they have duga pitto captureme And hiddensnaresfor my feet.
"Flightwill perishfrom the shepherds,And escapefrom the mastersof the flock.
For I will restoreyou to healthAnd I will healyou of your wounds,'declaresthe LORD,'Becausethey have calledyou an outcast,saying: "It is Zion;noonecaresfor her."'

At my firstdefenseno onesupportedme, but alldesertedme; may it not be countedagainst them.
Then Davidsaidto himself,"NowI will perishonedayby the handof Saul.Thereis nothingbetterfor me thanto escapeinto the landof the Philistines.Saulthen will despairof searchingfor me anymorein allthe territoryof Israel,and I will escapefrom his hand."
