There will be silencebefore You, [and] praisein Zion,O God,And to You the vowwill be performed.
O God,the nationshave invadedYour inheritance; They have defiledYour holytemple; They have laidJerusalemin ruins.
You makeus an objectof contentionto our neighbors,And our enemieslaughamong themselves.
That I may tellof allYour praises,That in the gatesof the daughterof ZionI may rejoicein Your salvation.
[Like] one who takesoffa garmenton a coldday,[or like] vinegaron soda,Is he who singssongsto a troubledheart.
And the ransomedof the LORDwill returnAnd comewith joyfulshoutingto Zion,With everlastingjoyupon their heads. They will findgladnessand joy,And sorrowand sighingwill fleeaway.
So the ransomedof the LORDwill returnAnd comewith joyfulshoutingto Zion,And everlastingjoy[will be] on their heads. They will obtaingladnessand joy,And sorrowand sighingwill fleeaway.
"Micahof Moreshethprophesiedin the daysof Hezekiahkingof Judah;and he spoketo allthe peopleof Judah, saying,'Thusthe LORDof hostshas said,"Zionwill be plowed[as] a field,And Jerusalemwill becomeruins,And the mountainof the houseas the highplacesof a forest."'
"I will makeJerusalema heapof ruins, A hauntof jackals; And I will makethe citiesof Judaha desolation, withoutinhabitant."
Therefore,on accountof you Zionwill be plowedas a field,Jerusalemwill becomea heapof ruins,And the mountainof the temple[will become] highplacesof a forest.
"[As for] these thingswhichyou are lookingat, the dayswill comein whichthere will not be leftone stoneupon anotherwhichwill not be torn down."
