[When] the grassdisappears,the newgrowthis seen,And the herbsof the mountainsare gatheredin,
He causes the grassto growfor the cattle,And vegetationfor the laborof man,So that he may bringforthfoodfrom the earth,
Who coversthe heavenswith clouds,Who providesrainfor the earth,Who makes grassto growon the mountains.
He who gathersin summeris a sonwho actswisely,[But] he who sleepsin harvestis a sonwho actsshamefully.
The lambs[will be] for your clothing,And the goats[will bring] the priceof a field,
It will be even like the reapergatheringthe standinggrain,As his armharveststhe ears,Or it will be like one gleaningearsof grainIn the valleyof Rephaim.
"Now as for me, behold,I am going to stayat Mizpahto stand[for you] beforethe Chaldeanswhocometo us; but as for you, gatherin wineand summerfruitand oiland put[them] in your [storage] vessels,and livein your citiesthat you have takenover."
Then allthe Jewsreturnedfrom allthe placesto whichthey had been drivenawayand cameto the landof Judah,to Gedaliahat Mizpah,and gatheredin wineand summerfruitin greatabundance.
