There is precioustreasureand oilin the dwellingof the wise,But a foolishmanswallowsit up.
"He swallowsriches,But will vomitthem up; Godwill expelthem from his belly.
"He returnswhathe has attainedAnd cannotswallow[it]; As to the richesof his trading,He cannoteven enjoy[them].
Wealthand richesare in his house,And his righteousnessenduresforever.
You preparea tablebeforeme in the presenceof my enemies;You have anointedmy headwith oil;My cupoverflows.
It is the blessingof the LORDthat makesrich,And He addsnosorrowto it.
The crownof the wiseis their riches,[But] the follyof foolsis foolishness.
Greatwealthis [in] the houseof the righteous,But troubleis in the incomeof the wicked.
The rewardof humility[and] the fearof the LORDAre riches,honorand life.
To endowthose who loveme with wealth,That I may filltheir treasuries.
[Men] preparea mealfor enjoyment,and winemakeslifemerry,and moneyis the answerto everything.
Furthermore,as for everymanto whomGodhas givenrichesand wealth,He has also empoweredhim to eatfrom them and to receivehis rewardand rejoicein his labor;thisis the giftof God.
Wisdomalongwith an inheritanceis goodAnd an advantageto those who seethe sun.
But tenmenwho were foundamong them saidto Ishmael,"Do not putus to death;for we havestoresof wheat,barley,oiland honeyhiddenin the field."So he refrainedand did not putthem to deathalongwith their companions.
"The foolishsaidto the prudent,'Giveus someof your oil,for our lampsare goingout.'
"Nowwhen he had spenteverything,a severefamineoccurredin that country,and he beganto be impoverished.
NowHe was alsosayingto the disciples,"There was a richmanwhohada manager,and this[manager] was reportedto him as squanderinghis possessions.
"The goodmanout of the goodtreasureof his heartbringsforthwhat is good;and the evil[man] out of the evil[treasure] brings forthwhat is evil;for his mouthspeaksfrom that which fillshis heart.
