Jesussaidto him, "I amthe way,and the truth,and the life;no onecomesto the Fatherbut throughMe.
"For the gateis smalland the wayis narrowthat leadsto life,and thereare fewwho findit.
"You shall also sayto thispeople,'Thussaysthe LORD,"Behold,I setbeforeyou the wayof lifeand the wayof death.
You shall strikehim with the rodAnd rescuehis soulfrom Sheol.
Her houseis the wayto Sheol,Descendingto the chambersof death.
For the commandmentis a lampand the teachingis light;And reproofsfor disciplineare the wayof life
Her feetgodownto death,Her stepstakeholdof Sheol.
For her housesinksdownto deathAnd her tracks[lead] to the dead;
Do not reprovea scoffer,orhe will hateyou, Reprovea wisemanand he will loveyou.
And seeifthere be any hurtfulwayin me, And leadme in the everlastingway.
For a fireis kindledin My anger,And burnsto the lowestpartof Sheol,And consumesthe earthwith its yield,And setson firethe foundationsof the mountains.
But the pathof the righteousis like the lightof dawn,That shinesbrighterand brighteruntilthe fullday.
