Keepingawayfrom strifeis an honorfor a man,But anyfoolwill quarrel.
Do not associatewith a man[given] to anger;Or gowith a hot-temperedman,
An angrymanstirsup strife,And a hot-temperedmanaboundsin transgression.
A heartthat deviseswickedplans,Feetthat runrapidlyto evil,
Do not be eagerin your heartto be angry,For angerresidesin the bosomof fools.
As for a rogue,his weaponsare evil;He deviseswickedschemesTo destroy[the] afflictedwith slander,Even though [the] needyonespeakswhatis right.
