Then they setout from MountHorby the wayof the RedSea,to goaroundthe landof Edom;and the peoplebecameimpatientbecause of the journey.
He said,"Whichwayshall we goup?" And he answered,"The wayof the wildernessof Edom."
So Mosesspokethusto the sonsof Israel,but they did not listento Moseson accountof [their] despondencyand cruelbondage.
"Now the Amalekitesand the Canaaniteslivein the valleys;turntomorrowand setout to the wildernessby the wayof the RedSea."
So Mosesdidjustas the LORDhad commanded,and they wentup to MountHorin the sightof allthe congregation.
"Now whyare you discouragingthe sonsof Israelfrom crossingoverinto the landwhichthe LORDhas giventhem?
"For when they wentup to the valleyof Eshcoland sawthe land,they discouragedthe sonsof Israelso that they did not gointo the landwhichthe LORDhad giventhem.
Then they journeyedfrom MountHorand campedat Zalmonah.
strengtheningthe soulsof the disciples,encouragingthem to continuein the faith,and [saying], "Throughmanytribulationswe mustenterthe kingdomof God."
But as for you, turnaround and setout for the wildernessby the wayto the RedSea.'
"Then we turnedand setout for the wildernessby the wayto the RedSea,as the LORDspoketo me, and circledMountSeirfor manydays.
Then they wentthrough the wildernessand aroundthe landof Edomand the landof Moab,and cameto the eastsideof the landof Moab,and they campedbeyondthe Arnon;but they did not enterthe territoryof Moab,for the Arnon[was] the borderof Moab.
