Sihon,kingof the Amorites,And Og,kingof Bashan,And allthe kingdomsof Canaan;
And Og,kingof Bashan,For His lovingkindnessis everlasting,
Manybullshave surroundedme; Strong[bulls] of Bashanhave encircledme.
A mountainof Godis the mountainof Bashan;A mountain[of many] peaksis the mountainof Bashan.
The Lordsaid,"I will bring[them] backfrom Bashan.I will bring[them] backfrom the depthsof the sea;
The landmourns[and] pinesaway,Lebanonis shamed[and] withers;Sharonis like a desertplain,And Bashanand Carmellose[their foliage].
"Of oaksfrom Bashanthey have madeyour oars;With ivorythey have inlaidyour deckof boxwoodfrom the coastlandsof Cyprus.
"You will eatthe fleshof mightymenand drinkthe bloodof the princesof the earth,as [though they were] rams,lambs,goatsand bulls,allof them fatlingsof Bashan.
Hearthisword,you cowsof Bashanwhoare on the mountainof Samaria,Who oppressthe poor,who crushthe needy,Who sayto your husbands,"Bringnow, that we may drink!"
So Mosesgaveto them, to the sonsof Gadand to the sonsof Reubenand to the half-tribeof Joseph'ssonManasseh,the kingdomof Sihon,kingof the Amoritesand the kingdomof Og,the kingof Bashan,the landwith its citieswith [their] territories,the citiesof the surroundingland.
afterhe had defeatedSihonthe kingof the Amorites,wholivedin Heshbon,and Ogthe kingof Bashan,wholivedin Ashtarothand Edrei.
"But Sihonkingof Heshbonwas not willingfor us to passthrough his land; for the LORDyour Godhardenedhis spiritand madehis heartobstinate,in orderto deliverhim into your hand,as [he is] today.
"When you reachedthisplace,Sihonthe kingof Heshbonand Ogthe kingof Bashancameout to meetus for battle,but we defeatedthem;
Curdsof cows,and milkof the flock,With fatof lambs,And rams,the breedof Bashan,and goats,With the finestof the wheat--And of the bloodof grapesyou drankwine.
They tookpossessionof his landand the landof Ogkingof Bashan,the twokingsof the Amorites,[who were] acrossthe Jordanto the east,
and the territoryof Ogkingof Bashan,one of the remnantof Rephaim,who livedat Ashtarothand at Edrei,
allthe kingdomof Ogin Bashan,whoreignedin Ashtarothand in Edrei(he alone was leftof the remnantof the Rephaim);for Mosesstruckthem and dispossessedthem.
Their territorywas from Mahanaim,allBashan,allthe kingdomof Ogkingof Bashan,and allthe townsof Jair,whichare in Bashan,sixtycities;
and allthat He didto the twokingsof the Amoriteswhowere beyondthe Jordan,to Sihonkingof Heshbonand to Ogkingof Bashanwhowas at Ashtaroth.
