"Nowyou are cursedfrom the ground,whichhas openedits mouthto receiveyour brother'sbloodfrom your hand.
The sonsof Kohath[were] Amminadabhis son,Korahhis son,Assirhis son,
the sonof Tahath,the sonof Assir,the sonof Ebiasaph,the sonof Korah,
The earthopenedand swallowedup Dathan,And engulfedthe companyof Abiram.
As when one plowsand breaksopenthe earth,Our boneshave been scatteredat the mouthof Sheol.
Howlovelyare Your dwellingplaces,O LORDof hosts!
O LORD,You showedfavorto Your land;You restoredthe captivityof Jacob.
O LORD,the Godof my salvation,I have criedout by dayand in the nightbeforeYou.
The earthis brokenasunder,The earthis splitthrough,The earthis shakenviolently.
ThereforeSheolhas enlargedits throatand openedits mouthwithoutmeasure;And Jerusalem's splendor,her multitude,her din[of revelry] and the jubilantwithin her, descend[into it].
"Eachof you takehis firepanand putincenseon it, and eachof you bringhis censerbeforethe LORD,two hundredand fiftyfirepans;also you and Aaron[shall] each[bring] his firepan."
"But ifthe LORDbringsaboutan entirelynewthingand the groundopensits mouthand swallowsthem up with allthat is theirs,and they descendaliveinto Sheol,then you will understandthat thesemenhave spurnedthe LORD."
As he finishedspeakingallthesewords,the groundthat was underthem splitopen;
So they and allthat belonged to them wentdownaliveto Sheol;and the earthclosedoverthem, and they perishedfrom the midstof the assembly.
But those who diedby the plaguewere 14,700,besidesthose who diedon accountof Korah.
and the earthopenedits mouthand swallowedthem up along with Korah,when that companydied,when the firedevoured250men,so that they becamea warning.
The sonsof Korah,however, did not die.
"Our fatherdiedin the wilderness,yet he was not amongthe companyof those who gatheredthemselves together againstthe LORDin the companyof Korah;but he diedin his own sin,and he hadnosons.
"Do not let the tribeof the familiesof the Kohathitesbe cutofffrom amongthe Levites.
and whatHe didto Dathanand Abiram,the sonsof Eliab,the sonof Reuben,when the earthopenedits mouthand swallowedthem, their households,their tents,and everylivingthingthat followedthem, amongallIsrael--
But the earthhelpedthe woman,and the earthopenedits mouthand drankup the riverwhichthe dragonpouredout of his mouth.
