Now Mosesheardthe peopleweepingthroughout their families,eachmanat the doorwayof his tent;and the angerof the LORDwas kindledgreatly,and Moseswas displeased.
But grumbledin their tents;They did not listento the voiceof the LORD.
Do I not hatethose who hateYou, O LORD?And do I not loathethose who riseup against You?
Thereforethe LORDheardand was fullof wrath;And a firewas kindledagainst JacobAnd angeralsomountedagainst Israel,
When Godheard,He was filledwith wrathAnd greatlyabhorredIsrael;
On thisaccountthe angerof the LORDhas burnedagainst His people,And He has stretchedout His handagainstthem and struckthem down.And the mountainsquaked,and their corpseslaylike refusein the middleof the streets.For allthisHis angeris not spent,But His handis stillstretchedout.
And you will, even of yourself, letgoof your inheritanceThat I gaveyou; And I will make you serveyour enemiesIn the landwhichyou do not know;For you have kindleda firein My angerWhich will burnforever.
Now the peoplebecamelike those who complainof adversityin the hearingof the LORD;and when the LORDheard[it], His angerwas kindled,and the fireof the LORDburnedamong them and consumed[some] of the outskirtsof the camp.
So Mosessaidto the LORD,"Whyhave You been so hardon Your servant?And whyhave I not foundfavorin Your sight,that You have laidthe burdenof allthispeopleon me?
When the dewfellon the campat night,the mannawould fallwith it.
(Now the manMoseswas veryhumble,morethananymanwhowas on the faceof the earth.)
So the angerof the LORDburnedagainst them and He departed.
So they gotbackfrom aroundthe dwellingsof Korah,Dathanand Abiram;and Dathanand Abiramcameout [and] stoodat the doorwayof their tents,along with their wivesand their sonsand their littleones.
The peoplespokeagainst Godand Moses,"Whyhave you broughtus up out of Egyptto diein the wilderness?For thereis nofoodand nowater,and we loathethis miserablefood."
But when Jesussawthis, He was indignantand saidto them, "Permitthe childrento cometo Me; do not hinderthem; for the kingdomof Godbelongsto such as these.
After looking aroundat them with anger,grievedat their hardnessof heart,He saidto the man,"Stretchout your hand."And he stretchedit out, and his handwas restored.
For a fireis kindledin My anger,And burnsto the lowestpartof Sheol,And consumesthe earthwith its yield,And setson firethe foundationsof the mountains.
