When Jesusheard[this], He saidto him, "One thingyou stilllack;sellallthat you possessand distributeit to the poor,and you shall havetreasurein heaven;and come,followMe."
Instructthosewho are richin thispresentworldnot to be conceitedorto fix their hopeon the uncertaintyof riches,but on God,who richlysuppliesus with all thingsto enjoy.

Do not trustin oppressionAnd do not vainlyhopein robbery;Ifrichesincrease,do not set[your] heart[upon them].
"Surelyeverymanwalksabout as a phantom;Surelythey makean uproarfor nothing;He amasses[riches] and does not knowwhowill gatherthem.
Jesussaidto him, "Ifyou wishto be complete,go[and] sellyour possessionsand giveto [the] poor,and you will havetreasurein heaven;and come,followMe."
"IfI have putmy confidence[in] gold,And calledfinegoldmy trust,
For to a personwhois goodin His sightHe has givenwisdomand knowledgeand joy,while to the sinnerHe has giventhe taskof gatheringand collectingso that he may giveto onewhois goodin God'ssight.Thistoois vanityand strivingafter wind.
"Ifthe thiefis caughtwhile breakingin and is struckso that he dies,therewill be nobloodguiltinesson his account.
"In the darkthey diginto houses,They shutthemselves up by day;They do not knowthe light.
"But storeup for yourselvestreasuresin heaven,whereneithermothnorrustdestroys,and wherethievesdo not breakin orsteal;
"But be sureof this,that ifthe head of the househad knownat whathourthe thiefwas coming,he would not have allowedhis houseto be brokeninto.
