In the same waythe chief priestsalso,along with the scribesand elders,were mocking[Him] and saying,
"Will it be wellwhenHe examinesyou? Orwill you deceiveHim as one deceivesa man?
Let those be ashamedand humiliatedaltogetherwho rejoiceat my distress;Let those be clothedwith shameand dishonorwho magnifythemselves overme.
And nowdo not carryon as scoffers,Oryour fetterswill be madestronger;For I have heardfrom the LordGODof hostsOf decisivedestructionon allthe earth.
Thussaysthe LORD,the Redeemerof Israel[and] its HolyOne,To the despisedOne, To the One abhorredby the nation,To the Servantof rulers,"Kingswill seeand arise,Princeswill also bowdown,Becauseof the LORDwhois faithful,the HolyOneof Israelwho has chosenYou."
Then I annihilatedthe threeshepherdsin onemonth,for my soulwas impatientwith them, and their soulalsowas wearyof me.
and saying,"You who [are going to] destroythe templeand rebuildit in threedays,saveYourself!IfYou are the Sonof God,come downfrom the cross."
"He savedothers;He cannotsaveHimself.He is the Kingof Israel;let Him nowcome downfrom the cross,and we will believein Him.
"For He will be handedover to the Gentiles,and will be mockedand mistreatedand spitupon,
ThenJesussaidto the chief priestsand officersof the templeand elderswho had comeagainstHim, "Have you comeout with swordsand clubsas you would againsta robber?
And the peoplestoodby, lookingon. And eventhe rulerswere sneeringat Him, saying,"He savedothers;let Him saveHimselfifthisis the Christof God,His Chosen One."
