And twoblind mensittingby the road,hearingthat Jesuswas passingby, criedout, "Lord,have mercyon us, Sonof David!"
The LORDopens[the eyes of] the blind;The LORDraisesup those who are boweddown;The LORDlovesthe righteous;
On that daythe deafwill hearwordsof a book,And out of [their] gloomand darknessthe eyesof the blindwill see.
"I will leadthe blindby a waythey do not know,In pathsthey do not knowI will guidethem. I will makedarknessinto lightbeforethem And ruggedplacesinto plains.Theseare the thingsI will do,And I will not leavethem undone."
Hear,you deaf!And look,you blind,that you may see.
We gropealong the walllike blindmen,We gropelike those who havenoeyes;We stumbleat middayas in the twilight,Among those whoare vigorous[we are] like deadmen.
and as he sowed,some[seeds] fellbesidethe road,and the birdscameand atethem up.
And a Canaanitewomanfrom that regioncameout and [began] to cryout, saying,"Have mercyon me, Lord,Sonof David;my daughteris cruellydemon-possessed."
The crowdsternly toldthem to be quiet,but they criedout all the more,"Lord,Sonof David,have mercyon us!"
And [the] blindand [the] lamecameto Him in the temple,and He healedthem.
The crowdsgoing aheadof Him, and thosewho followed,were shouting,"Hosannato the Sonof David;BLESSEDIS HE WHO COMESIN THE NAMEOF THE LORD;Hosannain the highest!"
"Whatdo you thinkaboutthe Christ,whosesonis He?" They saidto Him, "[The son] of David."
Thenthey cameto Jericho.And as He was leavingJerichowith His disciplesand a largecrowd,a blindbeggar[named] Bartimaeus,the sonof Timaeus,was sittingby the road.
"THE SPIRITOF THE LORDIS UPON ME, BECAUSEHE ANOINTEDME TO PREACH THE GOSPELTO THE POOR.HE HAS SENTME TO PROCLAIMRELEASETO THE CAPTIVES,AND RECOVERY OF SIGHTTO THE BLIND,TO SETFREETHOSE WHO ARE OPPRESSED,
At that very timeHe curedmany[people] of diseasesand afflictionsand evilspirits;and He gavesightto many[who were] blind.
"And so,because he was a prophetand knewthat GODHAD SWORNTO HIM WITH AN OATHTO SEAT[one] OF HIS DESCENDANTSON HIS THRONE,
