He spokeanotherparableto them, "The kingdomof heavenis likeleaven,whicha womantookand hidin threepecksof flouruntilit was allleavened."
So Abrahamhurriedinto the tentto Sarah,and said,"Quickly,preparethreemeasuresof fineflour,knead[it] and makebreadcakes."
So Amnonlaydownand pretendedto be ill;when the kingcameto seehim, Amnonsaidto the king,"Pleaselet my sisterTamarcomeand makeme a coupleof cakesin my sight,that I may eatfrom her hand."
"Nevertheless the righteouswill holdto his way,And he who has cleanhandswill growstrongerand stronger.
But the pathof the righteousis like the lightof dawn,That shinesbrighterand brighteruntilthe fullday.
"So let us know,let us presson to knowthe LORD.His goingforthis as certainas the dawn;And He will cometo us like the rain,Like the springrainwateringthe earth."
Jesus presentedanotherparableto them, saying,"The kingdomof heavenmay be comparedto a manwho sowedgoodseedin his field.
"Unlessthe Lordhad shortened[those] days,nolifewould have been saved;but for the sakeof the elect,whomHe chose,He shortenedthe days.
"It is likeleaven,whicha womantookand hidin threepecksof flouruntilit was allleavened."
"Everybranchin Me that does not bearfruit,He takes away;and every[branch] that bearsfruit,He prunesit sothat it may bearmorefruit.
A littleleavenleavensthe wholelump[of dough].

Then Gideonwentin and prepareda younggoatand unleavenedbreadfrom an ephahof flour;he putthe meatin a basketand the brothin a pot,and brought[them] out to him underthe oakand presented[them].
Now whenshe had weanedhim, she tookhim up with her, with a three-year-oldbulland oneephahof flourand a jugof wine,and broughthim to the houseof the LORDin Shiloh,although the childwas young.
