You have rejectedallthose who wanderfrom Your statutes,For their deceitfulnessis useless.
And He said,"The one who sowsthe goodseedis the Sonof Man,
"You are the saltof the earth;but ifthe salthas become tasteless,howcan it be made salty[again]? It is nolongergoodfor anything,exceptto be thrownout and trampled under footby men.
"Theseare the ones whoare besidethe roadwherethe wordis sown;and whenthey hear,immediatelySatancomesand takes awaythe wordwhich has been sownin them.
When a largecrowdwas coming together,and thosefrom the variouscitieswere journeyingto Him, He spokeby wayof a parable:
"Other[seed] fellon rocky[soil], and as soon as it grewup, it withered away,becauseit hadnomoisture.
For thisreasonwe mustpaymuch closerattentionto what we have heard,sothat we do not drift away[from it].
