When He arrivedat the place,He saidto them, "Praythat you may not enterinto temptation."
Now Jabezcalledon the Godof Israel,saying,"Ohthat You would blessme indeedand enlargemy border,and that Your handmight be with me, and that You would keep[me] from harmthat [it] may not painme!" And Godgrantedhim whathe requested.
Establishmy footstepsin Your word,And do not let anyiniquityhavedominionover me.
My stepshave heldfastto Your paths.My feethave not slipped.
AlsokeepbackYour servantfrom presumptuous[sins]; Let them not ruleover me; ThenI will be blameless,And I shall be acquittedof greattransgression.
And do not leadus into temptation,but deliverus from evil.[For Yoursis the kingdomand the powerand the gloryforever.Amen].'
And forgiveus our sins,For we ourselvesalsoforgiveeveryonewho is indebtedto us. And leadus not into temptation.'"
and saidto them, "Whyare you sleeping?Getup and praythat you may not enterinto temptation."
The endof all thingsis near;therefore,be of sound judgmentand sober[spirit] for the purpose of prayer.
Becauseyou have keptthe wordof My perseverance,I alsowill keepyou from the hourof testing,that [hour] which is aboutto comeupon the wholeworld,to testthosewho dwellon the earth.
