And He withdrewfrom them abouta stone'sthrow,and He kneltdownand [began] to pray,
And He wenta littlebeyond[them], and fellon His faceand prayed,saying,"My Father,ifit is possible,let thiscuppassfrom Me; yetnot as I will,but as You will."
And He wenta littlebeyond[them], and fellto the groundand [began] to praythat ifit were possible,the hourmight passHim by.
"The Phariseestoodand was prayingthisto himself:'God,I thankYou that I amnot likeother people:swindlers,unjust,adulterers,orevenlikethistax collector.
"But the tax collector,standingsome distance away,was evenunwillingto liftup his eyesto heaven,but was beatinghis breast,saying,'God,be mercifulto me, the sinner!'
When he had saidthese things,he kneltdownand prayedwith them all.
Whenour daysthere were ended,we leftand startedon our journey,while they all,with wivesand children,escortedus until[we were] out of the city.After kneelingdownon the beachand praying,we said farewellto one another.
Thenfallingon his knees,he criedout with a loudvoice,"Lord,do not holdthissinagainst them!" Having saidthis,he fell asleep.
But Petersentthem allout and kneltdownand prayed,and turningto the body,he said,"Tabitha,arise."And she openedher eyes,and when she sawPeter,she satup.
In the daysof His flesh,He offeredup bothprayersand supplicationswith loudcryingand tearsto the One ableto saveHim from death,and He was heardbecauseof His piety.
