I shall washmy handsin innocence,And I will goaboutYour altar,O LORD,

Purifyme with hyssop,and I shall be clean;Washme, and I shall be whiterthansnow.
"Then you shall bringAaronand his sonsto the doorwayof the tentof meetingand washthem with water.
"Aaronand his sonsshall washtheir handsand their feetfrom it;
when they enterthe tentof meeting,they shall washwith water,so that they will not die;orwhen they approachthe altarto minister,by offeringup in smokea fire[sacrifice] to the LORD.
"Washyourselves, makeyourselves clean;Removethe evilof your deedsfrom My sight.Ceaseto do evil,
"Then I will sprinklecleanwateron you, and you will be clean;I will cleanseyou from allyour filthinessand from allyour idols.
"He shall puton the holylinentunic,and the linenundergarmentsshall be nextto his body,and he shall be girdedwith the linensashand attiredwith the linenturban(theseare holygarments).Then he shall bathehis bodyin waterand putthem on.
Mosessaidto the congregation,"Thisis the thingwhichthe LORDhas commandedto do."
"In that daya fountainwill be openedfor the houseof Davidand for the inhabitantsof Jerusalem,for sinand for impurity.

sothat He might sanctifyher, having cleansedher by the washingof waterwith the word,
let us draw nearwith a sincereheartin full assuranceof faith,having our heartssprinkled[clean] from an evilconscienceand our bodieswashedwith purewater.
since they [relate] onlyto foodand drinkand variouswashings,regulationsfor the bodyimposeduntila timeof reformation.
