Fireshall be kept burningcontinuallyon the altar;it is not to goout.
"Now thisis whatyou shall doto them to consecratethem to ministeras prieststo Me: takeoneyoungbulland tworamswithoutblemish,
and unleavenedbreadand unleavenedcakesmixedwith oil,and unleavenedwafersspreadwith oil;you shall makethem of finewheatflour.
and there [shall be] one-tenth[of an ephah] of fineflourmixedwith one-fourthof a hinof beatenoil,and one-fourthof a hinof winefor a drinkofferingwith onelamb.
"His rockwill passawaybecauseof panic,And his princeswill be terrifiedat the standard,"Declaresthe LORD,whosefireis in Zionand whose furnaceis in Jerusalem.
but the chamberwhichfacestowardthe northis for the priestswho keepchargeof the altar.Theseare the sonsof Zadok,who from the sonsof Levicomenearto the LORDto ministerto Him."
The fireon the altarshall be kept burningon it. It shall not goout, but the priestshall burnwoodon it everymorning;and he shall layout the burntofferingon it, and offerup in smokethe fatportionsof the peaceofferingson it.
Now thisis the lawof the grain offering:the sonsof Aaronshall presentit beforethe LORDin frontof the altar.
"CommandAaronand his sons,saying,'Thisis the lawfor the burntoffering:the burntofferingitself[shall remain] on the hearthon the altarallnightuntilthe morning,and the fireon the altaris to be kept burningon it.
Then firecameout from beforethe LORDand consumedthe burntofferingand the portionsof faton the altar;and when allthe peoplesaw[it], they shoutedand fellon their faces.
