If,therefore, a manwishesto redeempart of his tithe,he shall addto it one-fifthof it.
"Woeto you, scribesand Pharisees,hypocrites!For you tithemintand dilland cummin,and have neglectedthe weightier provisionsof the law:justiceand mercyand faithfulness;but theseare the things you shouldhave donewithoutneglectingthe others.
"But woeto you Pharisees!For you pay titheof mintand rueand every[kind of] garden herb,and [yet] disregardjusticeand the loveof God;but these are the thingsyou shouldhave donewithoutneglectingthe others.
I fasttwicea week;I pay tithesof allthat I get.'
"They shall eatequalportions,except[what they receive] from the saleof their fathers'[estates].
"Whenyou have finishedpayingallthe titheof your increasein the thirdyear,the yearof tithing,then you shall giveit to the Levite,to the stranger,to the orphanand to the widow,that they may eatin your townsand be satisfied.
