Whatevercrawlson its belly,and whateverwalkson [all] fours,whateverhas manyfeet,in respect to everyswarmingthingthat swarmson the earth,you shall not eatthem, for they are detestable.
Then Godsaid,"Let the watersteemwith swarmsof livingcreatures,and let birdsflyabovethe earthin the openexpanseof the heavens."

Now everyswarmingthingthat swarmson the earthis detestable,not to be eaten.
Do not renderyourselvesdetestablethrough anyof the swarmingthingsthat swarm;and you shall not makeyourselves uncleanwith them so that you becomeunclean.
They will lickthe dustlike a serpent,Like reptilesof the earth.They will cometremblingout of their fortresses;To the LORDour Godthey will comein dreadAnd they will be afraidbeforeYou.
"Woeto you, scribesand Pharisees,hypocrites!For you tithemintand dilland cummin,and have neglectedthe weightier provisionsof the law:justiceand mercyand faithfulness;but theseare the things you shouldhave donewithoutneglectingthe others.
But when he sawmanyof the Phariseesand Sadduceescomingfor baptism,he saidto them, "You broodof vipers,whowarnedyou to fleefrom the wrathto come?
"You are of [your] fatherthe devil,and you wantto dothe desiresof your father.He was a murdererfrom the beginning,and does not standin the truthbecausethere is notruthin him. Wheneverhe speaksa lie,he speaksfrom his own[nature], for he is a liarand the fatherof lies.
For such menare false apostles,deceitfulworkers,disguisingthemselves as apostlesof Christ.
But I am afraidthat, as the serpentdeceivedEveby his craftiness,your mindswill be led astrayfrom the simplicityand purity[of devotion] to Christ.
