Then he saidto Zebahand Zalmunna,"Whatkindof men[were] they whomyou killedat Tabor?"And they said,"They were likeyou, each oneresemblingthe sonof a king."
He saidto them, "Whatkindof manwas he whocameup to meetyou and spokethesewordsto you?"
They speakfalsehoodto oneanother;With flatteringlipsand with a doubleheartthey speak.
The northand the south,You have createdthem; Taborand Hermonshoutfor joyat Your name.
girdedwith beltson their loins,with flowingturbanson their heads,allof them lookinglike officers,likethe Babylonians[in] Chaldea,the landof their birth.
Theseare grumblers,finding fault,followingaftertheir [own] lusts;they speakarrogantly,flatteringpeoplefor the sakeof [gaining an] advantage.

He toredownthe towerof Penueland killedthe menof the city.
He said,"They [were] my brothers,the sonsof my mother.[As] the LORDlives,ifonlyyou had let them live,I would not killyou."
He saidto the menof Succoth,"Pleasegiveloavesof breadto the peoplewhoare followingme, for they are weary,and I am pursuingZebahand Zalmunna,the kingsof Midian."
