Then the kingof Israelgatheredthe prophetstogether, about fourhundredmen,and saidto them, "Shall I goagainstRamoth-gileadto battleorshall I refrain?"And they said,"Goup, for the Lordwill give[it] into the handof the king."
Then he wentwith Joramthe sonof Ahabto waragainstHazaelkingof Aramat Ramoth-gilead,and the ArameanswoundedJoram.

and from the tribeof Gad:Ramothin Gileadwith its pasturelands,Mahanaimwith its pasturelands,
allthe citiesof the plateauand allGileadand allBashan,as faras Salecahand Edrei,citiesof the kingdomof Ogin Bashan.
Bezerin the wildernesson the plateaufor the Reubenites,and Ramothin Gileadfor the Gadites,and Golanin Bashanfor the Manassites.
So they setapartKedeshin Galileein the hillcountryof Naphtaliand Shechemin the hillcountryof Ephraim,and Kiriath-arba(that is, Hebron)in the hillcountryof Judah.
Thesewere the appointedcitiesfor allthe sonsof Israeland for the strangerwho sojournsamongthem, that whoeverkillsany personunintentionallymay fleethere,and not dieby the handof the avengerof blooduntilhe standsbeforethe congregation.
To the sonsof Gershon,one of the familiesof the Levites,from the half-tribeof Manasseh,[they gave] Golanin Bashan,the cityof refugefor the manslayer,with its pasturelands,and Be-eshterahwith its pasturelands;twocities.
From the tribeof Reuben,[they gave] Bezerwith its pasturelandsand Jahazwith its pasturelands,
From the tribeof Gad,[they gave] Ramothin Gilead,the cityof refugefor the manslayer,with its pasturelandsand Mahanaimwith its pasturelands,
