then Davidwentand tookthe bonesof Sauland the bonesof Jonathanhis sonfrom the menof Jabesh-gilead,whohad stolenthem from the opensquareof Beth-shan,wherethe Philistineshad hangedthem on the daythe PhilistinesstruckdownSaulin Gilboa.
Now thisis the accountof the forcedlaborwhichKingSolomonleviedto buildthe houseof the LORD,his own house,the Millo,the wallof Jerusalem,Hazor,Megiddo,and Gezer.

and alongthe bordersof the sonsof Manasseh,Beth-sheanwith its towns,Taanachwith its towns,Megiddowith its towns,Dorwith its towns.In theselivedthe sonsof Josephthe sonof Israel.
However, Josiahwould not turnawayfrom him, but disguisedhimself in order to makewarwith him; nordid he listento the wordsof Necofrom the mouthof God,but cameto makewaron the plainof Megiddo.
Who were destroyedat En-dor,Who becameas dungfor the ground.
"Thereforebehold,the daysare coming,"declaresthe LORD,"That I will cause a trumpetblastof warto be heardAgainstRabbahof the sonsof Ammon;And it will becomea desolateheap,And her townswill be seton fire.Then Israelwill takepossessionof his possessors,"Saysthe LORD.
"In that daythere will be greatmourningin Jerusalem,like the mourningof Hadadrimmonin the plainof Megiddo.
and to the kingswhowere of the northin the hillcountry,and in the Arabah--southof Chinnerothand in the lowlandand on the heightsof Doron the west--
the kingof Taanach,one;the kingof Megiddo,one;
the kingof Dorin the heightsof Dor,one;the kingof Goiimin Gilgal,one;
[together] with the citieswhich were setapartfor the sonsof Ephraimin the midstof the inheritanceof the sonsof Manasseh,allthe citieswith their villages.
The southside[belonged] to Ephraimand the northsideto Manasseh,and the seawas their border;and they reachedto Asheron the northand to Issacharon the east.
The sonsof Josephsaid,"The hillcountryis not enoughfor us, and allthe Canaaniteswho livein the valleylandhave chariotsof iron,both those whoare in Beth-sheanand its townsand those whoare in the valleyof Jezreel."
But Manassehdid not takepossessionof Beth-sheanand its villages,or Taanachand its villages,or the inhabitantsof Dorand its villages,or the inhabitantsof Ibleamand its villages,or the inhabitantsof Megiddoand its villages;so the Canaanitespersistedin livingin that land.
"The kingscame[and] fought;Thenfoughtthe kingsof CanaanAt Taanachnearthe watersof Megiddo;They tooknoplunderin silver.
Then Saulsaidto his servants,"Seekfor me a womanwho is a medium,that I may goto her and inquireof her." And his servantssaidto him, "Behold,there is a womanwho is a mediumat En-dor."
They puthis weaponsin the templeof Ashtaroth,and they fastenedhis bodyto the wallof Beth-shan.
allthe valiantmenroseand walkedallnight,and tookthe bodyof Sauland the bodiesof his sonsfrom the wallof Beth-shan,and they cameto Jabeshand burnedthem there.
