and let them be readyfor the thirdday,for on the thirddaythe LORDwill comedownon MountSinaiin the sightof allthe people.
"He will reviveus aftertwo days;He will raiseus up on the thirdday,That we may livebeforeHim.
"For you are about to crossthe Jordanto goin to possessthe landwhichthe LORDyour Godis givingyou, and you shall possessit and livein it,
"Then I commandedyou at that time,saying,The LORDyour Godhas givenyou thislandto possessit; allyou valiantmenshall crossoverarmedbeforeyour brothers,the sonsof Israel.
"Hear,O Israel!You are crossingoverthe Jordantodayto goin to dispossessnationsgreaterand mightierthanyou, greatcitiesfortifiedto heaven,
Then Joshuacommandedthe officersof the people,saying,
"MosesMy servantis dead;nowtherefore arise,crossthisJordan,you and allthispeople,to the landwhichI am givingto them, to the sonsof Israel.
At the endof threedaysthe officerswentthroughthe midstof the camp;
