"Thisis the judgment,that the Lighthas comeinto the world,and menlovedthe darknessratherthanthe Light,for their deedswere evil.
From those who leavethe pathsof uprightnessTo walkin the waysof darkness;
"Your dwellingis in the midstof deceit;Through deceitthey refuseto knowMe," declaresthe LORD.
and the ostrichand the owland the seagulland the hawkin its kind,
"The priestshall then look,and ifthere is a whiteswellingin the skin,and it has turnedthe hairwhite,and there is quickrawfleshin the swelling,
Thiswill be the punishmentof Egypt,and the punishmentof allthe nationswhodo not goup to celebratethe Feastof Booths.
"And that slavewho knewhis master'swilland did not get readyoractin accordwith his will, willreceivemanylashes,
Nowthe Pharisees,who were lovers of money,were listeningto allthese thingsand were scoffingat Him.
In Him was life,and the lifewas the Lightof men.
The Lightshinesin the darkness,and the darknessdid not comprehendit.
"Nowjudgmentis upon thisworld;nowthe rulerof thisworldwill be castout.
for they lovedthe approvalof menratherthanthe approvalof God.
"I have come[as] Lightinto the world,sothat everyonewho believesin Me will not remainin darkness.
"Howcanyou believe,when you receivegloryfrom one anotherand you do not seekthe glorythat is from the [one and] onlyGod?
"Ifanyoneis willingto doHis will,he will knowof the teaching,whetherit is of Godor[whether] I speakfrom Myself.
"The worldcannothateyou, but it hatesMe becauseI testifyof it, that its deedsare evil.
ThenJesusagainspoketo them, saying,"I amthe Lightof the world;he who followsMe will not walkin the darkness,but will havethe Lightof life."
"WhileI amin the world,I amthe Lightof the world."
and although they knowthe ordinanceof God,that thosewho practicesuch thingsare worthyof death,they not onlydothe same,but alsogive hearty approvalto thosewho practicethem.
but to thosewho are selfishly ambitiousand do not obeythe truth,but obeyunrighteousness,wrathand indignation.
in orderthat they allmay be judgedwho did not believethe truth,but took pleasurein wickedness.
and, "A STONEOF STUMBLINGAND A ROCKOF OFFENSE";for they stumblebecause they are disobedientto the word,and to this[doom] they were alsoappointed.
Knowthisfirstof all, that in the lastdaysmockerswill comewith [their] mocking,followingaftertheir ownlusts,
